We are a "American Sauce" manufacturer in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland.

We handmake, Five regional AMERICAN Sauces, Six Chili Jellies, Six Herb infused Sun Dried Sea Salts for Roasting, as well as producing Smoked Spare Ribs, Cranberry brined & Smoked Turkey Drumsticks, Southern Pulled Pork, Texas style Beef Brisket, Smoked Chicken Legs and assorted American Barbeque and Smoked Specialties!

The Story of Red Dog Foods

the Authentic American Sauces, Chili Jelly's and

Roasting Salts, ALL produced with local IRISH sourced Ingredients!

 

 

 Nestled in a California, Redwood Forest, we lived in a vintage Log Cabin with our dogs, cats and raccoons. Located just One Hours drive south of San Francisco.


 Here is where we entertained and Barbequed all year long. For many years we experimented and developed different Sauces for use on the Grill, in the Oven and with the Smoker. Traveling to Kansas City, Texas, New Orleans, Memphis and other Western States. We collected the Secrets from all the Best Grillers, Smokers and Sauce makers. Then practicing and improving on the secrets we were able to perfect our Sauces, Salts and Chili Jellies.

 Now, Barbara-Ann has returned Home to Ireland, with her American husband and all the Secrets and recipe’s that we have developed over a life time, have come with us to Kilkeel.

 Our ROASTING Sea Salts, with their Infused Flavors are from a Centuries Old process, utilizing our New Flavor Ideas for your Roasting Pleasure.

 Originally the Lavender Salt was discovered at the San Francisco Farmer’s Market by Barbara-Ann, she searched for the same Lavender Salt here in Ireland, with no success. We then sourced the culinary Lavender, a good quality Sun Dried Sea Salt and utilizing the process we produced the Lavender Salt, then came the Rosemary Salt, then the Mint Salt, the Dill Salt, Chili-Cayenne Sea Salt and now the Orange-Citrus Sea Salt ( absolutely amazing on grilled fish).

 These Salts impart an amazing Hint of  flavor, it is at times like actually tasting what you are smelling and adding another level to the culinary experience.

 The Chili Jellies have long been a favorite in the States. Once we arrived in Ireland, several of our customers implored us to make our Chili Jellies for the Irish market. We currently have SIX Tangy Chili Jellies. The regular Chili Jelly, our special Cranberry Chili Jelly, the Sour Cherry with Vanilla Pod Chili Jelly, the fresh Golden MINT Chili Jelly, Dragon's Breath "Ginger & Star Anise" and now the Apple & Sage. Serve them with your favorite Cheese or glaze a Chicken, Gammon or Duck. They are also perfect as accompaniment to a Ploughman's Platter.
